Repova

Repova – Gym Workout Tracker ("Repova", "the App", "we", or "us") is an independent mobile application developed and maintained by Bipin Paudel, a solo developer based in Nepal. The App is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store as a free download.

Repova is designed to help you plan, track, and review your gym training sessions without requiring any form of registration, cloud sync, or internet connectivity. The App is built to be entirely self-contained on your device.

This Privacy Policy describes what information the App interacts with (very little), how it is handled (locally, on your device only), and what rights you have over it (complete control). By using Repova, you agree to the terms described here.

When you use Repova, you may enter personal details such as your name, age, body weight, height, and fitness goals as part of the initial profile setup. As you train, the App records your workout routines, exercises, sets, repetitions, and weights. All of this data — without exception — is written to a SQLite database file stored locally on your phone's internal storage.

We want to be completely transparent: there is no Repova server. There is no database in the cloud. There is no API endpoint that your App talks to. When you log a deadlift PR, that entry exists on your phone and nowhere else in the world.

Repova does not collect, transmit, store, share, or sell any of the following:

Repova requests only one permission on Android. We believe you deserve to know exactly what each permission does and why it is needed, rather than simply listing them.

The App does not request permissions for the camera, microphone, contacts, phone calls, location (fine or coarse), external storage, Bluetooth, or internet access. If a future version of the App introduces any new permissions, this policy will be updated and you will be notified via the Play Store release notes before updating.

All data you enter into Repova is stored in a SQLite database located within the App's private data directory on your Android or iOS device. This directory is sandboxed by the operating system and is not accessible to other apps without root access.

Because Repova does not back up your data to any server, the security and preservation of your data depends entirely on your device. We strongly encourage you to use a screen lock (PIN, pattern, fingerprint, or face recognition) on your device, keep your operating system up to date, and be cautious when granting root access to your device, as rooted devices have weakened app sandboxing protections.

If you uninstall Repova, all data stored by the App is permanently deleted from your device. There is no backup and no way to recover it — not by us, not by anyone. If you plan to switch phones or reinstall the App, please be aware that your workout history cannot be transferred at this time. Export functionality is on our development roadmap.

Repova is built using React Native and Expo. These open-source frameworks are used purely for building the UI and accessing native device APIs. They do not independently collect or transmit user data.

The App uses open-source libraries including expo-sqlite for local database storage, expo-router for in-app navigation, and react-native-reanimated for UI animations — none of which communicate with external servers.

Repova does not integrate any advertising networks (Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network), crash analytics platforms (Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, Bugsnag), or behavioural analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment). There are no third-party SDKs in this App that communicate with external servers.

Repova is a general-purpose gym tracking tool intended for users of all ages. Because Repova does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us or any third party, there is no mechanism by which a child's personal information could reach us. The App does not require registration, does not ask for an email address, and does not connect to the internet.

We do not knowingly market the App specifically to children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about your child's use of the App, please reach out to us at the contact address below. We are happy to answer any questions.

Since all data is stored locally on your device and we hold none of it, you already have full, unrestricted control over your personal information at all times.

Right to access: All your data is in the App on your own device. You can view it at any time without needing to request it from anyone.

Right to delete: Uninstalling the App permanently erases all data. You can also clear individual workouts or your entire profile from within the App's settings at any time.

Right to portability: Data export is a planned feature. Until then, your data is tied to the device, but it is never sent anywhere you cannot reach it yourself.

Right to object: There is nothing to object to — we are not processing your data in any centralised way.

Any requests related to data subject rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations are satisfied inherently by the App's fully offline architecture.

We may revise this Privacy Policy if the App's functionality changes in ways that affect how data is handled — for example, if we introduce an optional cloud backup feature, an account system, or any integration that involves network communication. We will not make such changes without clearly disclosing them.

When this policy is updated, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and publish release notes in the Play Store and App Store describing what changed. For any significant changes that affect data collection, we will show an in-app notice on the next launch of the App, giving you an opportunity to review the changes before continuing to use it.

Continued use of the App after a policy update indicates your acceptance of the revised terms. If you disagree with any future changes, you may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time.
